America Hotel & Lodging Association Collaborated with CIBT International College of Guangzhou University in Hospitality Management Training Program

On June 5th, 2013, David Yan, Director and CEO of Guangdong Representative Office of America Hotel & Lodging Association Education Institute (AHLA-EI), together with Chief Advisor William Tang visited CIBT International College of Guangzhou University (GU) for a meeting with Kenrick Xu, Executive Dean of the College.

The two sides had a heated discussion on the future cooperation and implementation. In the past few years, there is a shortage of International hotel talents, especially talents skilled in hospitality management as well as English expression. CIBT International College of GU is going to introduce the most advanced hotel training idea and courses, cooperating with AHLA-EI in certification in hospitality management, hospitality theme training, entrusted hospitality training, etc.

The training of AHLA-EI program can not only lay down foundation for a career certification, but also help prepare students to be a hotel manager in the future. Students with a hospitality certification will have the opportunities to intern in World famous hotel, and will be more competitive to apply for the supervisor position in prestigious hotels. Besides, for students with intent to study abroad, credits earned from the program will be recognized by universities included in the AHLA web, so that relevant courses can be exempted.
