Dr. Schmidt, the Vice-president of Middle Tennessee State University, Visited GUCIBT
On the afternoon of 28th October, Dr. Schmidt, the Vice-president of Middle Tennessee State University, and Dr. Zheng, the Dean of Confucius Institute, visited GUCIBT. Li Yi (the President Assistant as well as the Dean of GUCIBT), Kenrick Xu (the Executive Dean) and other teachers from GUCIBT had a warm meeting with them at the meeting room.
The Dean, Li Yi, and the Executive Dean, Kenrick Xu, extended a warm welcome to them, and gave a brief introduction to Guangzhou University, GUCIBT and the international cooperation strategies. Following was an enthusiastic discussion about issues such as students exchange and the joint cultivation of undergraduate and graduate students, and both parties hoped to enhance the cooperation on the International Program for Undergraduate Students (IPUS).
On the day of the meeting, Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Zheng also had the lecture on the study program in Middle Tennessee State University and communicated with teachers and students respectively on the two campuses.
During the exchange meeting, Dr. Zheng first gave a brief introduction to American culture and people. After that, Dr. Schmidt shared with students the campus environment, teaching equipment, and accommodation conditions and so on. After the lecture, they also answered the students' questions like the fees for the program, visa application, internship for international students and etc.
