Establishment of CIBT International College in Guangzhou University
With the accelerated pace of economic globalization and the rapid development of knowledge-based economy, cooperation in international higher education is more and more frequent and exchange is also increasing with each passing day. An Inaugural ceremony of CIBT International College in Guangzhou University was held on 19th, Oct. It is honor to invite the President of Guangzhou University, Yu Jianshe, and the chief executive of CIBT Education Group Inc., Toby Chu, to take part in it. The Vice- Principal, Chen Shuang host the ceremony. The Executive Dean of Northeastern State University, Richard, and other responsible officials have attended.
President Yu proposed the following requirements and expectations to CIBT International College of Guangzhou University on behalf of the Party committee of Guangzhou University. By actively introducing the foreign educational resources, improve the level of international education in Guangzhou University. Through the platform of CIBT International College of Guangzhou University, we can import advanced educational philosophy, reasonable teaching methods, efficient management mechanism and excellent teaching staffs from foreign partner institutions to enhance the training of rare talents and optimize allocation of educational resources, and thus improve Guangzhou University's standard of running international education.
The aim of Guangzhou University is to become National Top-tier university We hope CIBT could import advanced and rational education management systems as well as education systems from abroad. Based on the source of 'bring in' and 'go global', we could make a renovation of the talent education system, let the international influence of our university become better. With joint operations in China and Canada, Guangzhou University will become fully integrated with the global education model. Lastly, I hope CIBT International College of Guangzhou University will rigorously comply with stipulations of 'Education Act of the People's Republic of China', 'Vocational Education Act of the People's Republic of China', and 'Contract Law of the People's Republic of China' and fulfill relevant duties seriously.
