Introductory Sessions for IPUS Program
On September 9 to 11, CIBT held three introductory sessions for IPUS program on the HEMC campus of Guangzhou University and two on the downtown campus. 169 freshmen of the six IPUS majors and the other students who are interested in the program participated in the sessions.
As the speakers of the introductory sessions, two teachers of CIBT, Mr. Huang and Ms Xue respectively introduced the IPUS program and the course English for Elegance and Profoundness (EEP) to students. Both teachers stressed that students should not only improve their English skills, but also prepare well to live and learn in foreign countries before going aboard. Besides, a video with the sophomore students’ share of experience in IPUS and teachers’ words of blessing was shown to the students. At the end of the introductory sessions, a Q&A section was held to strengthen mutual communication between teachers and students. Both the Executive Dean, Xu Jinfeng, and the faculties of CIBT answered students’ question eagerly.
