Peter from University of Birmingham visited CIBT International College of Guangzhou University
On the afternoon of June 28th, a delegation led by Peter, Director of International Relations from University of Birmingham, visited CIBT International College of Guangzhou University(GU). Kenrick Xu, the CIBT Executive Dean, had a meeting with them，and arranged an lecture for them to introduce University of Birmingham to our students.
CIBT Executive Dean, Kenrick Xu extended a warm welcome to them, and gave a brief introduction of Guangzhou University and the International Program for Undergraduate Students (IPUS). Peter confirmed the school in pushing GU’s education internationalization. Following was a discussion about students exchange, IPUS, and other programs between the two universities.
After the meeting, the lecture organized by CIBT International College of GU on Introduction of University of Birmingham was given by Peter in the GLN classroom of Wenyi Building.
During the 1-hour lecture, Peter shared with students the campus environment, teaching equipment, superior majors and accommodation conditions and so on. He also answered the students’ doubts like part-time job, European countries visa applying, race discrimination etc, after the lecture.
