A Camp to Visit Harvard University and Experience Coastal Life

 

It is a camp that brings you to Harvard University and realizes your dream to study there. In Harvard, the professors will tell you about American education as well as the application and give you guidance to your life; the students here will communicate with you face to face, inspiring you of a clearer picture of the future. Those who have participated in the Camp said that not only were their English communication skills approved, but also their dreams to study abroad were lightened up during the trip. You are going to widen you horizon and become more independent and cooperative in this two- week Camp.

China-Washington

Gather at the airport and fly to Washington D.C. It is named after George Washington who is a founding father of America and Columbus who has discovered America. After arrival, you will be received politely and sent to the hotel for a rest to adjust the jet lag.

Day two will be spent in visiting the main tourist attractions in Washington: the White House, the Capital Hill, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the National Gallery of Art, and the National Air and Space Museum.

Washington- Philadelphia- New Jersey

In the Morning, after breakfast, you will take a bus to New York via Philadelphia, the old capital of America.

In the afternoon, you are going to go around Philadelphia, visiting the Independence Palace, the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Congress Hall, the Franklin Institute Science Museum, and Princeton University. Located between New York and Philadelphia, and rounded by clear rivers, Princeton is a countryside city with picturesque surroundings.

And Princeton University is a unique campus with many gothic buildings, which was the Alma Mater for some Hollywood movie stars, governors, and two American presidents. Another noticeable fact is that Einstein, who put forward the famous The Theory of Relativity, was a teacher and researcher in Princeton University.

This day begins with the visit of the Statue of Liberty by boat. Then it is scheduled for you to look around the United Nations Headquarters, the Ground Zero (the site of World Trade Center), the Wall Street, the Central Park, the Fifth Avenue, and the Rockefeller Square.

New York- Boston

After breakfast, you will go to Boston by bus and make a visit to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT for short). Sitting in the beautiful Cambridge Town in Massachusetts, MIT enjoys the most reputation all over the world as a top university of technology.

The afternoon will be spent in Boston, which earns the name of “the America’s Athena” as it is the birthplace of American democracy and it has witnessed many historical events there. Firstly, you will go to the scenic Charles River; then, on the southern bank of Charles River, you will get about the bent Freedom Trail, along which there are houses, churches, and several historical sites of 17th and 18th century telling the history of this city.

Founded in 1636 as the first university in America, Harvard University is named after its first donator- the Rev. Mr. John Harvard. So many talents have been cultivated there, including eight American presidents, forty Nobel Prize Winners and thirty Pulitzer Prize winners that Harvard is recognized as “the think tank of American Government”.

 

Harvard University courses: History and Culture; Western Education and Eastern Education 

In the morning, you will take the course of  History and Culture. Though with a short history of only 200 years, America is undoubtedly the strongest country in the world. This course is about the American Dream, the individualism and hard work, and Americans’ views on wealth, etc.

In the afternoon, you will take the course of American Middle School and University. This course aims to encourage students’ development of potential and innovative thinking, also to clear up the puzzles about the application and preparation for further education in America.

Harvard University course: Experience the Class

In the morning, you are going to attend classes as auditors with the students of Harvard University, experience the class personally.

In the afternoon, you will accept the training of leadership and teamwork by cooperating with each other in the classes, participating in the activities held by Chinese Students Union of Harvard University and communicating with Chinese students in Harvard University

Harvard University Course: Let Dreams  

In the morning, you will take the course of English Writing to improve your writing skills.

In the afternoon, every one of you should give a three-minute presentation about your dream and the Harvard University teachers will give you the comments and suggestion on it.

At last, there is a farewell party. At the party, you can get the Education Certificate of Harvard University and take photos the teachers and students.

 

Special Lobster Meals provided: besides the top universities, there is top lobster in Boston. The uniqueness of the lobster is the big Craws with fresh meat. Compared with the craws, its body has less meat, but is tender. Lobster is as attractive as Harvard University and MIT that you cannot miss it.

All of the ancient tribes, western traditions and the animal superstars will satisfy your curiosity about movie and clear up your puzzles about movie making.

After breakfast, go to the most popular city for Americans, San Francisco. On arrival, you will be received and sent to go around Stanford University, which ranks only behind Harvard University in the world. Then it is time to travel to the wonderful Golden Gate Bridge and climb the Double Peaks Mountain, where you could overlook the whole state.

After breakfast, you are going to spend the last day  in America in visiting various tourist attractions of San Francisco: the University of California, Berkeley, ranking No.9 in the world; the most winding and artistic Lombard Street; the prosperous Fisherman’s Wharf; the symbolic Golden Gate Bridge; and the historic Chinatown; and the Union Square as well as the City Hall.
